What is Community Works?
A programme specifically for Royal Borough of Kingston Council and shared service employees, Community Works offers staff the chance to spend up to three days per year (pro rata) volunteering for the benefit of the local community. Participants can sign up as an individual or as a team to make it a group volunteering event.
How can you get involved?
If you’re a staff member at Royal Borough of Kingston Council, or a shared service, and looking to volunteer, you can apply for a volunteer opportunity that matches your skills or interests. For example, we often have opportunities involving nature conservation and environment, event stewarding, charity donations sorting, employment skills support, organisation infrastructure support (such as book-keeping, admin support, communications & fundraising), plus more. Check out the current opportunities below!
